How Gematria Works

Gematria is an alphanumeric code of assigning a numerical value to a name, word, or phrase based on its letters. Here are the three systems used:

  • Hebrew Gematria: A=1, B=2, ..., Z=800 (mapped to traditional Hebrew values)
  • English Gematria: A=6, B=12, ..., Z=156 (each letter is 6 times its position in the alphabet)
  • Simple Gematria: A=1, B=2, ..., Z=26 (alphabetical order)

Hebrew: 505, English: 384, Simple: 64
